It’s nice to meet you! I am Clinical Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine, and qualified chef with over 20 years experience. I am extremely passionate about supporting women & mothers to feel healthy, energised and well again. I understand the power of food and nutrients in the ability to heal our bodies – we are what we eat after all, and what we eat has an impact on every single cell in the body, what we choose to eat can make the difference between feeling “ok” and “amazing”.
My love for food and cooking stemmed from early childhood – watching my mother and grandmothers in the kitchen. I became a Chef at the age of 18, however, after many years in the food industry, I found myself to be burnt out, highly stressed and constantly exhausted. I wasn’t sleeping well, anxious, and I had lost my spark – I felt like a mobile phone on 1% battery – all the time. After falling pregnant with my first child, and decided I no longer wanted to feel this rundown and empty, that there had to be a better life for me. I turned to Nutritional Medicine, and I discovered how important the link between food, health and wellbeing really is.
Healthy diet helps to maintain a healthy body weight, playing a fundamental role in the prevention and treatment of many common health conditions such as, diabetes, heart disease, cancers, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, strengthening the immune system, and improve overall vitality and the ability to recover well after injury. When you work with me, I will help equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to create optimum health and be the best version of yourself now and in the future – that you can choose a happier and healthier path for yourself – trust me, you wont look back!
While I have a special interest in women’s health and supporting mothers wellbeing, my door is open to anyone and everyone requiring nutritional advice for a range of conditions or health concerns. My approach is holistic, I will educate you on the fundamentals of nutrition, provide lifestyle advice, show you how to make better choices when purchasing food, the links between your symptoms and the foods you are eating, and encourage you to make the changes you need to bring balance back to your body.
Each evidence based treatment plan is tailored specifically to your own unique needs – there is no one size fits all approach. I understand what it is like to be busy, exhausted, stressed and time poor – my practical advice aims is to make life that little bit easier – I truly want you to feel well, vibrant and energised to help make your life the best it can be!
